The LOCAL RESTRICTIONS SUPPORT GRANT closed for applications at midnight on 31 May 2021.
The ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS GRANT closed for applications on 8 April 2021.

All businesses must meet the following criteria to qualify for a RESTART grant:

The business:

Must have been trading on 1/4/21 from the premises.

Must not be in administration, insolvent or subject to a striking-off notice.

Businesses that have a voluntary agreement, but are not insolvent, in liquidation or in administration, will be eligible to receive a grant if they are still trading and operating, but only under de minimis, if the agreement means the business is ineligible for a grant under the COVID-19 Temporary Framework for UK Authorities.



RESTART GRANT

Please note that you must be in the rating list to qualify for these grants.

You must have been the liable ratepayer on 1 April 2021.

The Restart Grant is to support non-essential retail premises with one-off grants of up to £6,000 in Strand One of the Restart Grant. The following thresholds apply for these businesses:

a. Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on 1 April 2021 will receive a payment of £2,667.

b. Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on 1 April 2021 will receive a payment of £4,000.

c. Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over on 1 April 2021 will receive a payment of £6,000.

The Restart Grant is to also support hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with one-off grants of up to £18,000 in Strand Two of the Restart Grant. The following thresholds apply for these businesses:

a. Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on 1 April 2021 will receive a payment of £8,000.

b. Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on 1 April 2021 will receive a payment of £12,000.

c. Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over on 1 April 2021 will receive a payment of £18,000.

What happens next?

All applications will be checked and then a decision will be made as to whether the business is eligible for a grant and for how much. Payment will be made as soon as possible.
